Not Everything is “Worth Knowing”

With the list of responsibilities increasing with every sunrise, we hardly find much time to laugh, smile and be happy. In the hours of leisure, we feel pleasure to register our presence on WhatsApp and Facebook with the motive of getting the latest updates from our mates who deserve to be called “social freaks”. However, in the midst of some sweet-sounding conversation, sometimes we are told about various things that swing our mood and we get worried or feel torn apart altogether.

For example,
Where will you be ending up when your soul leaves the mortal world? Hell or Heaven?
Whom is your Ex-Boyfriend from High School dating?
How will be your life if you get diagnosed with cancer?
Will the world ever be a better place to live?

And the list goes on!

These queries just eat up our brains, put weight on our shoulders and seize away our remaining happiness. These endless questions in our brain put so much stress on our mind that a "good sleep" has become rare. Nights turn to days while we wipe off the tears and search for ways to lessen the pain of our broken hearts. What we need to learn is saying a “No” to worthless topics. We should start restricting the conversation to the topics that are “worth knowing”.

Life is short, so we should spend it laughing and dedicating time on things that are worth our time and which will be handled properly by our conscience. Simply avoid the things that you think might tear you apart, and let your brain be aware of the truth that not everything is worth knowing!

  1. YES! I have struggled with this recently thinking of all sorts of different scenarios of how my life will play out over the next few days, months, years etc. Due to this stress and lack of sleep I have had some health problems that could have (should have) been avoided. I have had to learn to live my life. Enjoy the small thing. Laugh. Smile. Cherish every moment with my family without worry of what tomorrow brings.
